Consort Members take Top Travel Awards
At the Northern Ireland Travel Awards on Friday 15 October 2005 five Consort members were nominated for the coveted N I Travel Agent of the Year Award which was won by Clubworld Travel. Congratulations to Delia and all the staff at Clubworld.
At the 2006 Northern Ireland Travel Awards held on Friday 13th October in the Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle the N I Travel Agent of the Year Award was won by Feherty Travel of Bangor. Congratulations to Raymond and all the staff at Feherty Travel. Five of the six finalists were Consort members.
At the 2007 Northern Ireland Travel Awards held on Friday 19th October in the Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle the N I Travel Agent of the Year Award was again won by Oasis Travel. Congratulations to Sandra and all the staff of Oasis. All the finalists were Consort Members.
The Consort Group regret to announce the death of Mr Maurice Thompson of Thompson Travel International, Portadown on 15th November 2007 in Israel. The members extend their sympathy to Mrs Thompson, Sharon and the family circle.
The Consort Group regret to announce the death of Mr Gibby Evans of Thriftway Travel, Belfast on 27th August 2008. The members extend their sympathy to his wife and family.

At the 2008 Northern Travel Awards held on Friday 17th October in the Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle the N I Travel Agent of the Year Award was won by McNeill Worldwide, another Consort member. Congratulations to all the staff in Lisburn Road.
Following the retirement of Gillian Bell of Shan Travel on 30th November 2008, Sandra Corkin of Oasis Travel has acquired the business of Shan Travel and this has been merged into the Oasis Travel shop in Hollywood. Sandra has also acquired the business of Newforge Travel and this will be merged into the Oasis Travel group. The members of Consort wish Gillian well in her retirement and thank her for her sterling work on our Cruise Committee.
