| Consort Travel Group Conference 2010
The Consort Travel Group 2010 Conference was held on the Costa del Sol from 26th to 29th November 2010 at the Hotel Melia Marbella Banus (formerly Dinamar) in Puerto Banus. The Annual Conference gives suppliers an ideal opportunity to meet and network with Consort members and other suppliers. As in previous years delegates made their own flight bookings on services to Malaga from Belfast with Aer Lingus and Easyjet and from Dublin and the UK mainland. Delegates arrived on Friday and the business session was held on Saturday morning. Following a welcome from Chairman Terry Murphy, this session was Moderated by Gerry Faloona who introduced Eamonn Mulley of Mulley Communication who gave a presentation of the use of Social Media in business. The was followed by a motivational talk from Gerry himself. Following a sponsored buffet lunch many delegates hit the shops as the rain continued outside. The golf which was planned for Saturday had to be cancelled due to the torrential rain. On Saturday evening the delegates walked to the Polynesians Restaurant for an very enjoyable meal with fantastic variety. After breakfast on Sunday morning the Suppliers Workshop/Speed Dating sessions proved very successful. After the buffet lunch in the hotel a large number of delegates joined Colin Laffin on his excursion to Gibraltar. Some others enjoyed the very welcome return of the sn round the pool. On Sunday the Gala Dinner which was hosted by the various Tourist Boards and table wine hosted by Etihad Airlines was held in the Restaurant La Meridiana del Alabardero in Marbella.
